Partnership Opportunities
Harmony will not be built by one organisation
We are seeking working partnerships with NGOs, businesses, healthcare providers, and government institutions — relationships built on expertise and delivery, not funding alone.
Why partnership, not only funding
What we are actually asking for
A senior care facility needs more than money. It needs clinicians who will shape its care model, designers who understand ageing bodies, builders who will construct it properly, institutions that will refer patients to it, and public bodies that will license and oversee it.
The foundation is therefore looking for partners rather than only donors — organisations willing to take on a defined part of the work and see it through with us. Some partnerships will involve funding. Others will involve expertise, materials, training, referral pathways, or regulatory guidance, and are valued no less for it.
We would rather have a specific conversation than a general one. If you can see a part of this project your organisation could credibly take on, tell us which part and we will scope it with you honestly — including what we cannot yet promise.
Partnership tracks
Four ways organisations can work with us
Each track describes what the partnership could involve. All of it is open to discussion — including arrangements we have not thought of.
Corporate sponsorship
For companies, Harmony offers something unusually tangible: a defined, physical part of a facility that will serve older people for decades. We are happy to scope a sponsorship around what your organisation actually wants to contribute.
What this could include
- Sponsorship of a specific element — a wing, the therapy suite, the dining room, the gardens
- In-kind contribution of construction materials, equipment, or furnishings
- Professional services contributed by your team — design, engineering, legal, IT, logistics
- Employee engagement, volunteering, and matched giving programmes
- Recognition at the facility and in project communications, agreed in advance with you
NGO and institutional partnership
We are seeking partners whose contribution is expertise and delivery capacity as much as funding — organisations working in ageing, health, social protection, or community development.
What this could include
- Programme funding or co-financing of defined phases
- Technical expertise in ageing, dementia, palliative, or rehabilitative care
- Joint design of community outreach and home care programmes
- Staff training, curriculum development, and professional supervision
- Monitoring, evaluation, and governance support
- Research collaboration and documentation of the model
Healthcare partnership
Harmony is intended to work alongside the existing health system rather than apart from it. Hospitals, clinics, and professional bodies can help shape the clinical side of the facility from the start.
What this could include
- Clinical advisory input into the design of care services and facilities
- Referral pathways for older patients needing care after discharge
- Visiting physician, specialist, and consultant arrangements
- Clinical training, mentorship, and supervision for Harmony staff
- Shared protocols for palliative care, dementia, and chronic disease management
- Support in establishing clinical governance and quality standards
Government and institutional collaboration
The foundation seeks to work transparently with the public institutions responsible for health, social protection, and local development in Kigali, and to align the project with national priorities for older people.
What this could include
- Alignment with national policy and planning for older people's care
- Guidance through licensing, inspection, and regulatory requirements
- Coordination with district and sector authorities in Gasabo and Ndera
- Collaboration with community health structures and social protection services
- Support in establishing care standards for the sector
Our commitments to partners
How we intend to work with partners
No partnership announced before it exists
We will not list your name, logo, or involvement anywhere until there is a real agreement and you have approved the wording. Nothing on this site currently claims a partnership, because none has been published as verified.
Defined scope, written down
Every partnership should state plainly what each side is providing, over what period, and how it will be reviewed — before either of us commits publicly.
Honest reporting, including bad news
Partners will be told how their contribution was used and what it achieved, including where the project is delayed or has fallen short. A partner who only hears good news cannot trust the good news.
Residents and families come first
Recognition, branding, and visibility are all negotiable. The dignity, privacy, and safety of the people Harmony is meant to serve are not.
Expertise weighs as much as funding
A hospital that helps design our clinical governance, or a firm that contributes engineering design, is a major partner in this project — not a lesser one.
Built to outlast us
We are interested in arrangements that strengthen the facility's long-term viability, not one-off gestures that leave an operating cost behind them.
Next step
Tell us which part you could take on
Whether you represent an NGO, a company, a hospital, a professional body, or a government institution, the founder will respond to you directly and in detail.
